Because people like eating eggs and egg products. This is worse than seeing chicks chucked onto a conveyor that drops them into a grinder, that, at least, is a faster death.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>My conscience won&#8217;t allow me to turn away from the grotesqueness of our species, where I can bear it. But I think this has affected me more than most\u00a0 &#8211; except maybe seeing a crocodile skinned alive with a pointed saw.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Like many of you, I fantasise about retribution for these crimes. Years ago, I did try to find people cooking dogs alive with a blowtorch. I failed, and now I&#8217;m old.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Awful.
